Injuries/Suspensions Newcastle have only the long-term injuries of Michael Owen and Kieron Dyer to contend with going into this European encounter. While Dyer is reported to be making his return to full training towards the end of this month, the news for Owen is still that he is not expected to return to first-team action until at least the first quarter of 2007. Scott Parker was the only NUFC player to pick up a booking in the Lillestrom tie, if he is booked in Latvia he will miss the home leg of the Ventspils tie.
