Plymouth are boosted by the return to fitness of playmaker Akos Buzsaky for their home game
against Paul Sturrock's Sheffield Wednesday.
Buzsaky (groin) was used as a second-half substitute in the thrilling 3-2 win at Sunderland and
also played a full 90 minutes in the South Western League side's goalless draw with Falmouth in midweek.
Buzsaky's return to fitness is timely as fellow midfielder Lilian Nalis has missed Argyle's last two league
outings after suffering an ankle injury in the opening-day draw with Wolves.
The Frenchman's place in central midfield has gone to Luke Summerfield, the son of former Plymouth
midfielder and coach Kevin Summerfield, now assistant to former boss Sturrock at Wednesday.
Striker Steve MacLean will miss out for Sheffield Wednesday due to a knee injury.
MacLean, the last of manager Paul Sturrock's five senior strikers available, will undergo an exploratory
operation on his troublesome knee and his absence reduces the Owls' injury-hit squad to just 13.
Wide midfielders Chris Brunt and Wade Small could find themselves ploughing a lone furrow up front against
Sturrock's former club.
Fellow forwards Deon Burton (hamstring), Marcus Tudgay (toe), Barry Corr (thigh) and Drew Talbot (knee)
remain some way off full fitness.
Defender Lee Bullen sits out the last of a three-game ban, while Tommy Spurr (virus), Steve Adams (ankle)
, Richard Wood (groin) and Peter Gilbert (knee) are all working their way back from lengthy injury spells.
I will take the home win here today. Sheffield is playing on muscles right at the moment and even if they managed
to lose only once in the openning 3 games, they are yet to record a win! 2 battling draws and only 1 scored goal in 3 games.
I dont think there will be something different, when they travel to Plymouth as they are reported not having even 1 fit striker in the team.
. Yesterday boss Sturrock said that they will simply stick to what they have now as there are no availeble funds for loan players wages.
But this changed today as now he has a green light to find a striker on an emergency loan, hoping to book him for the Saturday game.
Even if they do so I really doubt they can bring someone who will make the difference in such a short time. Most probably Sheffield
will not be able to bring anyone in time for this game, so some players from the midfield are expected to be given a starting place in attack.
I burned my fingers last week underestimating Plynouth / or overestimating Sunderland / and even if I dont really like
manager Holloway much I think things in Plymouth are going really smooth. The team spirit is sky high, the tactics and discipline
is at a good level and I saw a very hard working and fighting Plymouth side away at Sunderland. I think we can trust them here. it will not be easy
, Wednesday will play very tight and with all mind in defense IMO, but simply Plymouth is a better team at the moment,
with better results and no way near to Wednesdays injury worries.
