Grays was one of the best teams in the conference last year, where they reached play-offs, but got knocked out by Halifax. For this season they have got new management and have made some squad adjustments, as several new players have joined the club. The most important thing, however, is that they have been able to held on to their best players such as McLean (voted Player of the Year in last season) and Kightly, both are noted for four goals in the first four games.
They have started this season rather well, having earned 10 points in the first four games, which deserves respect, since they have met strong teams as Halifax, Rushden and Stafford. So, I really don't see any reason why they shouldn't be able to beat newly promoted Northwich, that, besides winning the first game, has been playing rather bad. After all, Grays has become more confident after the succes they had last year, and with higher ambitions this year, there are no place for pointlosses against teams like Northwich, if they indeed want to get that promotion spot at the end of the season.
